Good news for all passengers traveling through London Luton Airport, as the operator announced the extension of its complimentary wireless internet service which used to be only 30 minutes per day. This improvement puts the airport ahead of its competitors around London, such as Stansted or Gatwick, as their free Wi-Fi access is significantly less.
Many travelers combine their trip with low-cost flights and connections through London Luton, which means they might spend hours there waiting for their next flight. As the airport cannot be described as fascinating as Helsinki or Frankfurt, it could be painful to spend 2-3 hours if the person is not eligible for an Aspire Lounge access. With this comfort improvement, passengers may at least enjoy 4 hours of complimentary wireless internet service, which is stable and fast enough to browse and use social networks.
London Luton Airport (LLA), the airport operator also announced the commencement of a new service called “Connect & Lock” which provides cost-free electronic device charging at two charging stations in the departure lounge. These improvements are all part of the airport’s £110 million development program which aims to introduce developments help “to create the most enjoyable and convenient travel experience for passengers” – as the official statement says.
